Panel Solar
How can I use a solar panel as a sensor?
I’m thinking of measuring the current it produces with a current sensor. Maybe it’s enough to just use analogRead to measure the voltage from the solar panel, but is there another way?
My goal is to measure the intensity of solar radiation.

You want to use it as basically an ldr?
Yessss
@Aaravgohst
Yeah, you can do that.
Btw, that’s how the small backyard solar lights turn on/off without an LDR!
The voltage is too much, depending on your solar panel or microcontroller. Which ones are they ? If you don’t know what solar panel, can you send a picture?
I plan to use a solar panel like this: RUNCCI-YUN 4pcs 5V 30mA 53×30mm Mini Solar Panels (from Amazon) and measure the current (from this we can extrapolate all the variables we want) using a shunt resistor sensor that I will build myself. I will connect a shunt resistor of 1 Ω or 10 Ω in series with the solar panel, and then use a differential amplifier to adjust the voltage to a level suitable for the Arduino R4.

Or mybe i am better of using a Current Sensor, like MAX... o IN219...but they have a big range of current measure...
@Aaravgohst ??
Ask an moderator or helper, and we are in flipped time zones
I dont know what you are talking about....
For me there is no problem
I’m saying we are I flipped time zones, so communication is harder and, I can’t help you more, you need an moderator or helper to help you.
Ok, thankssss. No problem. If you have any problem with the communication you will answer me when you have time. For me no problem. Otherwise, i select the Panel solar and i will try to use a precision resistor to measure the voltage. @…Aarav…
Just clarifying - I can’t help you because I don’t have enough knowledge. 👍
Annn okok , now i understand...now its clear the situation. No problem men, thanks for help
