Strange problem with uploading firmware / software in corne keyboard.
Hi guys, I have strange problem, my right part of keyboard for some reason doesn't work (left part is working). When I upload software from zmk from left side to right side it's working. Any ideas how to repair it? Please.

Got it 👍 thanks for the details! The issue you’re running into is really common with split keyboards like the Corne. Here’s what’s likely happening:
- On wireless ZMK splits, the left half is always the central half that connects to your computer or device.
- The right half is just a peripheral — it never talks directly to your computer. Instead, it connects to the left half.
- If you flash the left firmware onto the right half, it will seem to work when plugged in (because the left firmware makes it act as the central half). But then your actual left half can’t pair with it, so things break.
How to fix: 1. Make sure each side has the correct firmware file:
- Left side:
- Right side:
(See our Corne Firmware page for the correct downloads depending on if you’re using nice!view or not.) 2. Flash the correct file to the correct side by putting the nice!nano into bootloader mode (double-tap reset, then copy the file to the
- Reset both halves at the same time so they re-sync.
If the right half still doesn’t type, it usually means the two halves aren’t connecting. In that case, follow the Split Halves Won’t Connect guide — clearing/resetting the bonds usually fixes it. --- Try reflashing the correct firmware to each side and then resync them. If it’s still not behaving after that, let me know exactly what files you flashed and what the LEDs do on each half when powered on. That’ll help narrow it down.
