Recommendations for sneakers?
My sneakers are starting to wear out from constantly slipping them on instead of untieing them (I'm getting better about that but it's too late to save the shoes). Any recommendations on where to get new ones that'll last me a while? Budget is up to $200, but ideally I'm looking for something $150 or cheaper.
No preference for name brand, black or white is ideal (not grey or brown). Open to secondhand as long as it's in good condition.
In the U.S., I'm an 8.5-9 in women's, 6.5-7 in men's

Hi @SugarGrub! For better answers, include:
- Reference pictures
- Budget in numbers
- Specific measurements
- Openness to buying secondhand and/or online
- Location: country/continent is fine
- Timing/urgency
Heavily dependent on your style… do you have inspo or some fit pics?
Not really? My overall style is something akin to "enthusiastic kindergarten teacher", but with all the bright colors I like to wear a neutral-color black or white shoe is usually fine

just get some new balance
theyre comfy and go with a lot of things
I looked up "cheap black/white sneaker" for some ideas ("cheap" to filter out like. Supreme)
Yeah I was going to say new balance as well.
i wouldnt put cheap in there
youre looking for regular price shoes
'cheap' gets you to walmart core shoes like that first one
Cheap will bring up deliberately low quality shoes
Just using it to get some reference photos of basic-looking sneakers
tbh it looks like you kinda want two pairs of sneakers
one more sporty /active/ running style one and one more flat
Adidas samba are a classic play for the flat type
That's probably an error of looking for mostly monochrome shoes over a strong preference for style. I'll look into New Balance
gotcha
yeah u could do new balance/adidas samba or gazelle and then something like on cloud or like hoka idk
hoka a good move if you want comfort
if you sale hunt you could get out under 200 for both
theyre dummy comfy
if you want something more 'cool' you could look at salomons

you can get less graphic colorways too
yup
if you want more versatility you could do one shoe in a monochrome color and the other pair in a more vibrant shade

Won’t wear out from slipping on bc you’re supposed to slip them on
No, but maybe some day
