Xbox Bluetooth Controller Constant Disconnects

I've seen a few similar posts, but none with a definitive answer.
Is there a fix for Bluetooth controllers dropping connection every 5 minutes while using Bazzite KDE? I'm using a OneXPlayer G1.
I purchased an 8bitdo adapter, but I'm not able to map the Elite controller back buttons without their software, which defeats the benefits of using Gamemode with Steam Input.
This may be the single issue that makes me go back to Windows, because it's not possible to enjoy games like this! I appreciate your help and time!
