Update
I'm on immich 1.36.0 on casaos... I want to update. I see a breaking change about upload_location or something like that and it's not in my docker compose at all. Anything I need to do for it to update properly and be clean/ready for upcoming updates and not have junk or be missing anything?

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed. You should not need to change anything for CasaOS @talguy31
So I don't need the upload location env var?
And thanks π
You definitely need that but it doesn't need to be changed
I have no idea how it's working π
This is the equivalent of UPLOAD_LOCATION
Like I said, don't worry about it
Thanks I appreciate it πβ€οΈ
Wow all my stuff got deleted π€¦ πΏ
not sure if it is due to zimaos migration (I switched from debian and casaos to zimaos)
I got this dockerfile and when I ran it... I see my immich folder is empty -- everything else is still there though.
Any idea how I can return all my data?
I wouldn't know the first thing about how zimaos works, you never said anything about a migration
Find the folder with your images first
So I tried updating earlier... And I didn't check if it succeeded... Fail on my part.. (tried to the yml I shared). Then I formatted the os drive and tried tried to import the yml file... Then I see nothing works... So I check and see everything is gone π±
... which drive is the os drive?
It should all be on
/mnt/bigdrive/data/immich/
if you didn't kill thatso data is now empty, everything else on bigdrive is not
I can only tell you that Immich does not wipe any data like that, is bigdrive USB perhaps?
Nope nvme
π«
But weird as hell that only this drive was delete but yeah I'm trying recovery tools
To me that would indicate it was never properly mounted in the first place, unless you can testify the images were on the drive?
Yes, and it went from omv to debian with casa os and survived multiple reboots before getting to now zimaos where it got deleted
How des zimaos handle these apps? is it just docker compose?
Yes and no, it has its own "app store" which is like docker. Pretty nice idea but the down side is they try to simplify docker so I don't know if I pressed to delete configs and maybe it deleted my files too? That's my running theory π€
But I don't remember if I did that π€still pretty annoying
In my experience, all these "simple" things are horribly incompatible with immich
yeah unfortunately in mine too now π₯²
It's a misuse of these utilities more than anything
Not understanding how a tool works causes exactly this
I mean if there's not really any docs and bad UI/UX will do it too
