Dehydration of Alcohols

Which product will be the major product in the reaction with P2O5? I think it's the one on the top as the Hydrogen present can be easily eliminated but I think someone in my class told that the major would be the one on the bottom. E2 Elimination is Kinetically Controlled, so are we supposed to check the stability (extent of Hyperconjugation) of the resulting Alkene or no?

could you provide a reason as to why the first product isn't major?

more alkylated alkene is stable
