Adding Underground Belts to Existing network
I'm unsure if this is user error, but when trying to use the "Add Underground Belt" and selecting the correct group name, after closing the window, nothing happens?

Underground Belts
You could place as many "x" inputs for "1" output and vice versa.

If this isn't the mod you were looking for, try a different spelling.
Hey Commander. Hmm. Its not allowing. Do this group only have one input and one output?
I think it only work if it have more of one of them. Than it will show a button to include as input or output. I will make some tests today
Any groups one to one or multiple, this feature has never worked for me
I shrugged it off but running back and forth constantly really got annoying lmao
Is it dedicated server?
Yes
I haven't tested on singleplayer
I can test that later today
Hmmm, good to know...
i will put a note that this is not working in dedi serv.
when I test it later in singleplayer, I'll make sure I give all the details in my troubleshooting
nice... Thanks for testing 🙂
For sure, I'll ping you when I do, no ETA though because I haven't slept yet :kek:
I have to rework this mod to dedicated servers asap! In single player seems to all work (except the 1to1)
hot diggity
Good to know
now when you say 1to1 do you mean adding an additonal to an existing 1to1 setup?
Versus a setup with 1 input and 2 outputs
yes... I think 1to1 it doesnt understand if it is a "splitter" or a "merger"
Good to know
But if you got it sorted on singleplayer already then I will play by ear - I can just say for certain that dedi def doesn't work, it's like when I click the group and close the menu, it just does nothing
I'll do some more testing later though on the dedi side and post notes
ok
I swear to god I'm not crazy
I just got on to test and for the very first time ever, it gave me the option for build an input
hold on
I am so confused, I literally changed nothing but all of a sudden after getting on, the option magically appeared for more inputs?
Like ever since I picked this mod up weeks ago, this never worked and now it just suddenly is
This is on the dedicated server
Whenever I would select the name of the input to follow from the output, it would simply do nothing, no text box would appear like it is now - I feel like I'm trolling at this point because I am so flabbergasted
wait
ok I'm not crazy, I just reproduced it somehow
Let me do more troubleshooting and see what I can do to make this happen
So,
I tried placing down the input then the output
Naming the input
Trying to add an underground and it doesn't work
but if I do this with a ghost belt that I deleted called test, it gives me the option to add an input in the UI, but any other pre-existing groups or new ones simply do not get the option to add an input
I tried placing output then input and repeating what I started with initially because I didn't track what I did from the getgo to get this result
I just logged out and back in and now the "test" phantom is now giving me the option to add an output?
It seems any pre-existing groups do not give me options for input or output -- initially it displayed Build an Input, but now it's only build an output but there is no "test" underground belt, I literally made it, deleted it and it just somehow got stuck in the group options
Okay new discovery
It seems that some groups allow me to add an input and some allow me to add an output and others have no option at all
Interesting discovery, when it's labeled as test, it seems to be pullin from other storages that exist in my world
I wonder if it may be because they're un-named, I'm checking this now
Another interesting discovery
Somehow when I made new underground belts and labeled it as test, it gave names to other inputs as test despite me not doing it - I never gave them names, so I'm not even sure how they got it -- One thing I can think of is in the group drop down, I saw an empty spot and clicked it and I wonder if that somehow assigned the test name to any "no name" inputs?
This all very strange and confusing
I'm going to roll back my save and then check my inputs without names and see if they keep the name "test"
ok yes
So what I did was, I rolled back to a save that had this blank option to select
I selected this at one point and it gave all terminals with no name, "test" as they were inputs and it gave the option of build an output
But If I select some of these other group options here, I get no option to build an input or output so it is very strange

ok so I clicked the blank option - and selected build an input
Now if I name this input I added via the add underground belt option, this other underground input that had no name before gets assigned a name called test (using test as my control name)
In this image
On the far right, I placed the input, then the output, I didn't give the input a name
I then went to add underground belt and selected the invisible name option, labeled it test and any input that had no name assigned to it got named test and it presented the option of this (before it was blank, but it shows this option build an input) - after clicking build an input, it does that and then if I name it, it will name every input without a name
But if I go to another option
Like this one, I have no option for input or output
which is 1to1 - but I was able to add onto the 1to1 when I started my initial testing with adding Test - which that was number 1 in the photo
but then if I select one of the other options in the group that is also a 1to1 - I get this option
It also seems that when I go back to test in this photo with #1 - I can only build an input, but before when the name change took over all the inputs with no names, it presented the option of build an output instead
Ok in the image that says build an output
That option only became available after test assigned itself to all inputs without a name, otherwise I can not reproduce the option for Build an output at all
It seems that somehow when it labeled everything, it just decided that it would give me the option for build an output
What doesn't make sense is why it doesn't it give me both options for building an input or an output

@Andre Aquila <Aquila Industrial>
Sorry for the confusing notes here, this was very perplexing to follow lmao
I will now go test this in a single player save and report findings
Okay, using the same save as the option for test building an output
in single player, it presents me now with the option of build an input only, despite the saves being the same both on the dedicated server and single player

This is the same test that labeled itself onto any inputs without a name
Okay another interesting discovery
I just went up to an input that got labeled test, changed it to Jar of Peat Soil Main Base and then I went and clicked, add underground belt and now it presents me with the option for building an output?
but if I go to a different one that had a name already, in this case Desert limestone 2 - I get no options for input or output
This is all very strange and I don't understand why there is inconsistencies for the input / outputs
and most of these are just 1to1

so it seems the feature is tempermental on when it wants to work and how it wants to work
One thing that is interesting though, despite all the nameless underground belts having the same name they don't mix
Only time I saw it mix was when I clicked build an output and if the buffer is set to 1 it will only put 1 item in as expected but when I take that item out, another "random" item from another input populates, as if they're all somehow merged
Oh also this randomly happens also
I just got back on the server and I'm fixing the mess that the test name fiasco made but sometimes randomly my input or output will turn into this and even if Is elect a group or trying to delete it, It won't delete until I relog
Basically acts like I placed an add underground belt on its own by its own accord

Sorry I'm finding so many weird oddities
so deleting it once turns into that and then if you point your cursor at a very specific spot, you can delete it again but it doesn't disappear until relog

Ok this is what I meant on they bug out on their own, it still seems to be functioning but I have no idea why it's doing this

Mind you, I did nothing to this at all
So after rebuilding my entire network of inputs and outputs, it seems it's now functional for the most part but still was a mess to get here
