Beta testers wanted!
In preparation for the next release of Freeboard-SK (2.17.0), I am seeking volunteers to test the beta version (which can be installed from npm
npm i @signalk/freeboard-sk@beta) . The new version contains significant changes to the config schema which will be applied on first launch after the update. I have tested as much as I possibly can but given the varied states of systems and versions that the update will be applied to a wider test sample is required.
If you choose to give 2.17.0-beta.2 a go can you please:
1. Note the current version of Freeboeard-SK on your system prior to performing the update.
2. Ensure you perform the install from the ~/.signalk directory
3. Raise an issue on the Freeboard-SK GitHub repository that includes the version of FSK from item 1.
If the update breaks your installation of FSK, you will need to take the following action regardless of continuing to use 2.17.0-beta.2 or downgrading to a previous version:
1. Open the browser Devtools
2. Go to the application tab
3. Under Storage -> Local storage locate the freeboard_config key
4. Delete it
5. Re-launch Freeboard-SK
