Shaders visual bug near leaves
I'm using Iris 1.9.1 and Sodium and only those, whenever I turn on shaders of any kind, there is this weird visual bug that seems to create a visual for a nonexistent leaf block underneath a leaf block (it has outlines, slightly visible textures however thoroughly translucent) Although the visual impact is minimal but it throws me off so much every time I see it so plz can anyone help

I can't film somehow bcuz my pc is very potato but i think anyone could make out the visual bug happening thru the pictures I capped
Seems like screen-space reflection artifacts. No way of eliminating them without doing world-space reflection.
And we all know how expensive world-space reflection is going to be...
:linus:
damn
can dialing back to older minecraft versions fix this
(older shaders)
Nope. Those artifacts are just how reflections are done in every shaders.
Except ones that advertise themselves as "world-space path tracing" ones.
so basically I js need to accept that my pc is potato everytime i run a modern shader
:waaaaaa:
alr ty bro much appreciated
i thought it was smth to do with my laptop or smth
but this makes it clear
@hardester hey would u care to see a video of it on another shader
this time i turned to ultra settings
maybe maxed
still the same
slightly different tho
i wanna know if it's surely screen-space reflection artifacts like you're saying
It is. Very few shaders implement world space reflections due to the performance cost
Assuming the screenshot is using complementary shader, world space reflections are in development for it
