iOS Live photos no sound
My iOS live photos appear to have no sound in immich - just the moving images. Am I doing something wrong or is this a limitation?

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
- Any other information that you think might be relevant.
Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.

Actually, sound plays fine in the iOS app, just not on web...could it be the file format on web or something?

This came up just yesterday
firefox only supports pcm in webrtc, not in a video container like mp4 or movHEIC are encoded with pcm by default The easy fix would be disabling pcm in your supported audio codecs in immich and retranscoding
Ah as I suspected! Typical firefox. Would disabling PCM have any downsides?
The encoded-video folder would be a bit fuller 🙂
I have pcm as accepted but I couldn't tell you what codec pack I installed to make that work
... nevermind my live photos don't have sound I just never noticed 😄
