the gui looks really cool tho, i love the style
the actual firmware (based on arduino framework) provides an API to write JS applications (using Elk engine + LVGL) and run them from the microSd card
so this IDE allows you to write those JS apps without removing the sd card from the WebScreen and execute some commads like: ping, wget, backup, stats, monitor, set get config from webscreen.json and more
