Game has noticeable lag when using weapon
I'm noticing when I use my weapons a decent amount of lag is caused even though I don't have access to weapons that create a bunch of projectiles yet. Namely the lag occurs when I use the Storm Saber and Caustic Edge from Calamity even though they shoot only 2 and 1 basic projectiles respectively. However I don't really notice lag when using another weapon such as the Bananarang. What could be causing this and how do I fix it before it becomes a bigger issue?

Looking for help on this too, weapons like the enchanted beam sword cause almost what feels like frame drop but frames dont go down when testing it
Disable weapon display and see if it changes anything
Also is this in multiplayer
No. I’ve used weapon display before and it wasn’t an issue until my last Calamity playthrough. It also worked fine in my last playthrough which was Homeward Journey/Thorium
I feel like it’s just Calamity weapons that cause issues for me mostly. I’ll try to verify this in a bit
one mod working with a mod doesn't mean that it can't be the issue when using another mod
and did you add any mods after the thorium playthrough that weren't cal
Uh besides the Calamity add ons I usually use no
Basically I swapped from HJ/Thorium to Calamity + addons. Only other changes were me getting rid of some qol mods
Yeah I think it was armament display that was causing issues
