Could someone help me set it up maybe hmm
you don't see any of @Starboard's commands?
I seen on a video on YouTube It's said to use a command like this /settings but those don't pop up
I think I created it correctly Do these commands that are on the actual app
When you star a image does it take a while for It's a pop up in the channel
ok well don't use youtube, there's no official guides there. https://docs.starboard.best
it shouldn't
what does
/utils info
show for that message? (the one that you starred)That doesn't pop up either
are you sure you have @Starboard and not a different bot
Yes I have that one
can you run
/ping
and forward the output here/utils info doesn't show up at all?
It doesn't show up
Pong! I'm here.

if this command isn't showing up for you that's very odd

maybe try reloading discord / quitting & re-opening the app
if it still doesn't appear, maybe you just don't have the necessary permissions in that server
Now it's popping up
I think we're getting somewhere
discord moment
But I don't see a command just for /utils
yeah it's
/utils info
When I go to type that in it says message
Like the type of message What is that
the link to the message you starred
Oh
Okay let me try
When I do that it only says I can see it
It doesn't really do nothing
I don't understand how this stuff works hmm
yeah but what does it say
I don't understand what's going on here The gif has three stars on it

so the bot thinks it has 0 - can you run
/starboards view
and send the output here?Try running
/utils recount
on the message, and then run /utils info
again
/utils recount
not /utils force
sorryNow it shows at least two stars are on /utils info

ok
So does it go auto after I have a auto one and a regular one
Or can I not be on the same channel
wdym
Autostar
And the regular starboard
bot reactions don't count towards the total vote count, if that's what you're asking
you can have autostar and a starboard in the same channel, they don't interact in any way
The ones that are on there for the vote the stars are from real people
also, right now your starboard has
self-vote
set to false, so you can't star your own messages - that might be why it's showing 2 instead of 3
yeah try setting self-vote to true (/starboards edit requirements ... self-vote: true
), then run /utils recount
againOkay I'll try this
Ty
Now it shows three
Now how does it get sent to the channel
it should automatically - if it's not, a couple possible reasons:
- starboard is missing permission to send messages in the starboard channel. You can check by sending @Starboard in the starboard channel. If it doesn't respond, this is probably why
- if the channel the message you're starring is in an age-restricted channel, make sure that the starboard channel is also age-restricted
I think it's working now
But how can I do it automatically
They're popping up when I do /utils recount
it should just work from now on, the reason old messages aren't is because they were starred before starboard was setup
future messages should just go to the starboard as soon as they have 3 stars
So it looks like it is working now Nice thank you it looks like I'm done now
Thank you
np
I don't know how to close this
dw about it you can just leave it
