How to test CAPTCHA with crowdsec-haproxy-spoa-bouncer
Hello,
I'm new to crowdsec and really impressed with it so far. I think I've got crowdsec-haproxy-spoa-bouncer setup correctly using the v0.0.5-rc2 release (I'm using turnstile so needed that, thank you)
How do I test the CAPTCHAs?
If I go to my site normally I am allowed in.
If I set
cscli decisions add --ip my.ip.ad.dr --type captcha
I get the captcha and pass it but I am redirected to the CAPTCHA page again.
Is there some other way to test it?
(OS Ubuntu 24.04 HAProxy 2.8.5)
Thanks all 🙂9 Replies

When you pass the captcha, do you see any useful logs in the haproxy spoa?
Nothing I find useful (these are the haproxy logs)
I meant the haproxy spoa logs, not haproxy
should be
/var/log/crowdsec-spoa-bouncer.log
sorry took a while to clean up
is there a way to get it to log the captcha stuff at debug but not everything?
Can you just DM me the log? cause it just cut off right after it asked to validate the data
Thanks for you help on this @Loz putting it down to a firefox bug for now as that is the only browser showing the issue
