Log download crashed Raspberry
Hi,
Today I opened the log window and filtered on my NMEA2000/Canbus, I saw what I expected i.e. raw canbus "messages" and my plan was to capture exactly that from my Simrad NAC-3 autopilot and use that to try trigger the analysis of that autopilot 🙂
However when I had made my exercises with the autopilot and seen all the messages flying by at high speed and tried to donload the log that did not work at all.
I did not se the usual file by file donwload only all logs in one zip option.
OK did not remember my settings so assumed I had not made the settings, started downloading the zip, that carried on forever and once about 1GB was downloaded the server stopped, my SSH session was terminated as well as the FTP, SignalK did not respond.
Unfortunately I did not have the time to bring everything up again and try once more...
But while downloading was still going I checked the settings and the setting is to keep houlry logfiles for the last 24 hours.
On my home instance I can see the files and choose one for download, on my boat I only had the option to get all files in a zip.
Is this an issue or just bad luck?
The instance had been running for about three hours --> there should have been three seperate files to download.

Have you checked out @canboat/visual-analyzer? might want to go that way for this. It does do log capture and playback.
No I have not, but will next week, I'm off for the weekend as my first grandchild will get her name 🙂
Regardless:
Is there a potential issue with downloading a log that is beeing written to?
My browser said resuming download all the time...
Is there a folder where the logs are, and can be retreived "manually"?
They are in ~/.signalk
