RL not launching on my M2 macbook air.
Just downloaded rocket league. Trying to open it but it's just not opening. The green words saying "launching" show for a split second then disapear and nothing happens.

but i cant go pass the startup scream
no button i press on my controller or keyboard works when the screen opens and it stays there

somebody had this same issue titled "Rocket League stuck at "Press Any Button To Start." Said he had to download vcrun2022 or something. You know what that is?

I do believe vcrun may require a brew install of cabextract
but just try it first

in the first link I posted it explains how to install the different dependencies
you can avoid that if you download the files from microsoft's website and run them with the Run EXE In Prefix option
both vcrun with winetricks and manually downloading the files should have the same result

I'm not sure how to explain this differently, it's all in the wiki
you have 2 ways of installing the visual c++ runtime:
- with winetrick
- or manually downloading the files from microsoft's website
(explained in the visual c runtime wiki page)
IF you want to use the
winetricks way, you'll have to install at least cabextract first using homebrew or it won't work (explained in the how to use heroic on a mac wiki page), and IF you want to use the winetricks GUI, you'll need zenity, but it's not requiredfascinating-indigoOP•3mo ago

you can download the files, just click in these 2 links on the site linked in the wiki page, and then you run them with the
Run EXE in Prefix option in the game's settings (again, it's all explained in the wiki pages I linked, please read them)

I just got got both files from the wiki website you linked, ran them through prefix, and now im going to open rl again to see what happens.
It freezes on the home screeen again
still an exclamation mark by one of my files in the finder called "TAGame
