Black screen after game crash

Bazzite KDE desktop, most recent stable release
After a game crashed and took my whole system with it, I rebooted into Bazzite, and I have no access to my desktop, I can only access a few apps that auto start on boot. I have tried rebasing to an older stable release, it didn't fix it. I've also tried rebasing to the most recent stable version. Both monitors are connected directly to the GPU via display port with no adapters of any kind.

Do you have anything layered? What's the output of
rpm-ostree status
?
Which one has the white dot next to it?
The first one listed
I also have no idea if I have something layered.
No idea how that even works
(Also it would be better if you can launch discord so you can copy paste command outputs instead of having to take a photo with your phone)
I can't access the terminal in the graphical desktop
I have to use ctrl alt f3 to get to the terminal
Discord auto launches, so I have access to that. But not the terminal
I see. ctrl+alt+T doesn't bring the terminal up?
Ah! That works, thanks, didn't know about that command
No worries, so first thing before we dive in is to boot into latest stable
You're currently booted into the image from 09/01, reboot to the one from the 3rd
KDE? Do you run wallpaper engine?
Yeah

mv ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc.bak
That worked.
Nice! Glad it was an easy one 🙂
