Best self hosting software for an old MacBook
Hi I recently found an old MacBook macOS x el captain. It has a good amount of memory and I was wondering what the best self hosting software for this device. This is my first time self hosting a Minecraft server and I’m looking for something free and easy to setup and easy to control. I am transferring an old fabric server from aternos 1.21.5.

the easiest way is to just run it from terminal
if you dont mind doing all the work from the macbook
or you could use some computer remote control tools im sure its not too hard to find ones
teamviewer is one that comes to mind but i bet theres others
I was looking into pufferpanel and craftycontroller. Are those also some good alternatives?
pufferpanel is only for linux, and only fewer of the distros
craftycontroller says in its documentation that it supports osx 11, 12 and 13 so if your laptop is running them then you can use it
if your wanting to get your server setup and ready in a short period of time then just running it through terminal is best
but if you dont mind getting your hands dirty with installion and then troubleshooting then you could go for an actual panel
docker 😛
yeah forgot about that one
Could you elaborate? I’ve heard of it but I don’t really understand what it is
Pterodactyl in docker
I heard that pterodactyl is hard to setup
Is featherclient hosting a good option?
I used it before
its not
docker makes it even easier
Ok so lemme get this straight
Download a fabric server and place it into a docker?
the easiest way is using tmux sessions
instead of docker
I'd run Linux, if it's a intel MacBook
Or just crafty
