ESP 32 over voltage popping sound
so, I plugged my esp 32 into an power source, which is probably slow, the exact wattage is unknown, and then I heard an POP! The circut was on an breadboard, on which the rails were slightly Brocken, the esp 32 was connected to an separate dev board, which smells like an PCB cut in half (I’ve done it before) . So, I want to know, what got fried, if possible, and is it safe to plug in? The esp status led was always . The Esp32 is not hot, or smelly.

In an hurry, I think I connected VCC to the EN pin on the dev board, no caps appear to be blown on both
EDIT: after an few minutes I plugged the esp into an trusted power source it do not smell or get hot, and the led was on
Does anyone know if the dev board is safe to use
And esp 32
isn't the "dev board" the same as the "esp32"?
The dev board is an sensor, it’s attached as an image, the dev board is emitting the smell, the outlet was 10 watt

Can I plug in the ESP 32 or sensor and use them or should I leave both?
if the sensor burned set it aside
if the esp32 still uploads and runs code you can use it
Ok thanks 🙏!
