Newcomer's guide feedback
Hello! I'm looking at this thru my eyes a few months back, when I vaguely knew what Traefik is and before I had Crowdsec set up to help give feedback.
First off, thank you for making this guide! Things like this are always super helpful to help newbies (like myself) learn what the heck is going on!
For context: I've got some websites listed on local k3s, exposed by cloudflare tunnels. Now, they're accessed via traefik with a crowdsec bouncer.
Back then, I knew Traefik existed in the cluster, but didn't know how to set it up and just had all the tunnels pointing directly at services in the cluster. When I reached this point, I wouldn't know what the difference is. I think it's asking if I want to install traefik as a middleware or if I want it installed directly into my application (like the WordPress plugin), right?

I really like this feedback, especially step 1. Step 2 I may do, but as a homelab person, I'm (probably) not being directly attacked. I'll probably still look anyway because it's cool - I like poking around at stuff, hence why I have a homelab - but it's probably not the most relevant to me. 3 I'll also look at

My only other thought is that say, hypothetically, I was looking to secure my homelab and someone randomly recommended Crowdsec to me. I go to Crowdsec's website and I see a link that says "click here to see what Crowdsec can do for you!". Then, I click and see this. I've gone thru that whole guide while barely seeing anything that gives a brief, succinct summary of what Crowdsec is or how it works. Is the idea that someone knows what crowdsec is and comes here to learn how to apply it to their environment, or that they use this to learn what Crowdsec is?
Honestly, it seems to be a well-made guide! Hopefully it ends up being helpful for people!
@Jona I wasn't sure where else to post this, since I can't post images in the lounge
Thanks a lot @2br-2b 💜 I will share the feedback with the team
Hello, thanks for your feedback.
This question is actually more general: would you rather apply remediation on an edge component or on the server.
Depending on the answer we would push the "blocklist usage" recommendations upward, or the "Security engine install" one.
Noted that it will need to be phrased better or changed
