"Duplicated" when uploading and app crash
Hey, I am having an issue with Immich v1.140.0 in iOs app.
I want to upload my photos and videos from iOs to my server, but the issue is that when I upload any file, it generates a "copy" of that file that is synced, but it also appears the original file as not synced (attached at the photo below, don't really know how to explain).
Has any body faced this problem? Basically the videos on the top are not synced but on the bottom the same videos appear but now uploaded (as you can see with the 0:06 seconds video).

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed.I'm also experiencing the app crashes when selecting too many videos or images (that are high quality)
This also happens when selecting only one video... 😵💫
As for the duplicate issue, Can you share a screenshot of the beta sync settings page?
Sure, this one?

It is under Settings -> Beta Sync Status
Ahh

Not all of your assets are hashed, so the app does not know that they are the same asset yet. If you wait until the Hashed assets count to match the Local count, it'll be fixed
Awesome, how long can this take? And does it depend on the CPU I guess?
Mostly depends on how many of those assets are on iCloud. Do you use iCloud and if so, do you have an idea of how many assets are on iCloud?
Uhhh it's my gf mobile so I have no clue actually, I'm an Android user haha. She has 2TB but not really sure if all the assets are uploaded
2 TB might take quite a while. You can probably let it run overnight by setting the display timeout to a large value
Where do I set that, sorry?
OS Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Auto Lock
The hash finished!! The duplicates seem to be gone ^^
But the app keeps crashing when selecting a video to upload 🙁
Did it fix the duplicate issue?
Is it right after selection or does uploading them work? Does the crash also happen for images?
Yup
I've only tried videos but it instantly crashes when selecting them and clicking on "upload"
How much storage does the phone have left?
I believe not much, probably a few Bytes 😳
Hmm maybe that is causing the crash
Do I need space to upload?
since you are using iCloud, it will probably need space to download the assets first before uploading to Immich
then it would clean up occasionally
Interesting, okay ^^
