Unable to figure out why faces are not enable

Hi, I have been unable to figure out if I am missing permissions for the faces part of the machine learning. I have added the portainer inspect log and the general log for hte machine learning stack. Any guidance would be helpful

The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider: - Your docker-compose.yml and .env files. - Logs from all the containers and their status (see above). - All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. - Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system. - Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware). - Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h). - The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces. - Any other information that you think might be relevant. Any suggestions

- How did you setup your Immich (what guide followed, etc.)? - Is it docker-compose + portainer? If so, please share your compose and .env as mentioned in the auto-post above. Thanks for the inspect output. If I got it right, you use bind mount for ML "/cache" directory instead of a docker volume (as per official Immich compose). Was it deliberate decision? My guess: ML container cannot write to your host directory where "/cache" is mounted. Therefore I/O error: Permission denied (os error 13) when trying to download a model from huggingface.

I used the marius hosting guide. As for the docker volume vs cache it was not intentional. My knowledge with this is minimal so any guidance is appreciated. This is the guide: https://mariushosting.com/how-to-install-immich-on-your-ugreen-nas/

Got it, thanks! If using mariushosting guide - Suggestion from Reddit (simple): try removing or commenting out the user: UID:GID line in compose for ML container and see if it helps https://www.reddit.com/r/immich/comments/1l92a11/trouble_with_facial_recognition/ - If running as non-root (as per the guide) set up missing chunks according to the official Immich docs https://immich.app/docs/FAQ/#how-can-i-run-immich-as-a-non-root-user - Similar issue with permissions in #immich https://discord.com/channels/979116623879368755/994044917355663450/1389381421596151869 - Similar issue in #help-desk-support, they suggested asking the author of the guide https://www.answeroverflow.com/m/1377281994240823316
Did you pay Marius for the stack.env? I just mean that they provide support as well, tailored to the compose
- Immich maintainers not quite happy with that guide https://discord.com/channels/979116623879368755/1402211438243741767/1402393212462825655
Right that has a bunch of mariushosting crap in there

Don't bother with the mariushosting guide, just use our install docs
