Storage overage and grace period
I need clarification regarding storage usage and potential charges.
I am new user and I am still using free plan.
My project exceeded the free 1 GB storage quota (reaching about 2GB).
I have deleted the large bucket and moved my files to another provider.
My dashboard now shows current live usage of only ~6 MB, so I am well under the quota.
However, the dashboard still displays “Average in period: 2GB” and my organization is flagged as exceeding quota.
My grace period ends on 16 September 2025.
My questions:
Will I need to pay anything for the overage in this current cycle, even though I no longer exceed the quota?
Can you confirm that as long as I stay below 1 GB going forward, I will not be forced to upgrade or face restrictions after the grace period ends?
I just want to be sure how the system handles “average in period” versus “current live usage.”
Thanks a lot for your help!

If you are below the 1GB at start of next period you are not supposed to have an issue. I've not seen a clear answer on why it shows higher for awhile or when it should start dropping off.
BUT make sure deleted your files with the Storage UI (not SQL).
Ah you say the dashboard is already showing file storage dropped down. So you are just getting the warning?
Yes, I can see the warning even though its shown that on 10 Sep I only have 5MB.

The way it should work you should be OK. The biggest issue I've seen is when the storage does not go down (usually because of using SQL to delete storage.objects table directly).
