Edgecuts + button placements

Hello, I was wondering if you'd be willing to open source the edgecuts and power switch / reset button placement / PCB files, to help the community design alternative boards that can still use the aluminum case and other Typeractive accessories. For example designing a Lofree Choc v2-based board based off the MX layout.

Great question — thanks for thinking about extending compatibility with our cases and accessories!
Right now, we don’t open source our full PCB design files (including edgecuts, power switch, or reset button placements). Since those are core to our product line, we keep them internal so we can ensure reliability and support for everyone using our kits.
That said:
- The positions for USB-C cutouts, switches, and reset buttons are standardized across our boards, so as long as you match those placements, our premium cases and display covers will fit.
- You can reference the Corne Wireless build guide and Lily58 Wireless build guide to see where the power switch, JST connector, and reset button are located in relation to the PCB outline. These details should be enough to line up with our case and accessory cutouts.
- If you’re designing around different switches (like Lofree Choc v2), pay special attention to spacing differences. Our PCBs for Corne/Lily use Choc spacing, which is tighter than standard MX. Matching the footprint to the layout used in our guides will give you the best chance of compatibility.
If you’re aiming for case/interior fit, I’d recommend starting with tracing the external PCB edges, JST position, and power/reset cutouts from one of our boards you already have and then adapting for your switches. That’ll keep things aligned with our accessories.
If you’d like, I can double-check dimensions/placement references with you if you share what specific case (Corne vs Lily58 premium/standard) you want to target.
Would you like me to help break down exact dimensions from our case cutouts so you can align your custom board?
