Revert my cloudflare email DNS settings back to Titan Email, assistance please!

I seem to be able to send from parado@atomicrhino.net (the domain on cloudflare) and recieve some emails from certain places, but most seem to get blocked and I can't figure out why or how, so I just want to move it all back to hostinger/Titan mail, I'm needing to login to my universal credit account and update my moving details so I can start getting housing benefits so this is kind of urgent. any help greatly appreciated.

So can you explain the following? - How is this thread different from the others? - Why do you keep rotate things around, ... if you actually wish to keep your stuff with Titan Email? - What does Titan Email have to say about your issue(s)?

because I can not get it working with cloudflare which is my preference, the second thread people just said it had nothing to do with cloudflare anyway - people stopped replying to the first one probably because I filled it with too much information so I want to just get it out of cloudflare an have my domain back at hostinger/titan email so I can access my atomicrhino.net emails ASAP as I need my housing benefit and they are sending the login security code to that domain which I can't access.

In the current set up, all email related records for the mentioned domain name are pointing directly to Titan Email. So if you're having any issues, you will need to get in touch with Titan Email. You CAN ask the senders of the email(s), that you believe you should have received, for further information about why their email deliveries to you failed, such as by getting error code(s)/message(s) from the senders, which will be able to help Titan Email figuring out the problem easier / faster.

And received just fine, too. DKIM is perfect, with proper alignment and everything. And SPF too. mx1.titan.email[3.217.87.239]:25 has accepted one in the other direction.

I got the reply on titan emails webmail site - bute my em-client isn't pulling it using pop/imap and those settings I never changed oh wait it just dropped into emclient

pop3 and smtp for sending would changing to imap make a difference?

There would be a chance it could make (quite a bit of) a difference. POP3 is literally your email client connecting to your provider (Titan Email), every now and then, and saying like "Hi Titan Email, do you have any new messages for me?", typically in frequencies of once every X minute, hour, day, [...]. IMAP has some "IDLE" functionality, that can allow your email client(s) to idle and keep the connection open to your provider (Titan Email), so that it doesn't have to connect and disconnect all the time. Some mobile email clients may not support IMAP IDLE, and other email clients, it may work "sporadic", such as e.g. with some mobile clients that aren't detecting if you're on an unstable mobile Internet connection, and thus not "re-connecting" to the server. But I would always expect POP to be a lot slower, as your email client would have to contact your email provider at various intervals, instead of keeping the connection open. 🙂

According to Discord, you sent this message at 03:12 (CEST, Europe/Copenhagen). Titan Email delivered "test 2" at 03:11:48, roughly 10 seconds after it was written (allegedly, 03:11:38 CEST (01:11:38 UTC)).

verbose output of the test mail I got your email back at the @atomicrhino.net domain I don't know why I am not getting the email code from Universal Credit GOV UK site to it :/ somewhere along the line it thinks the actual mailbox does not exist at least that's what it looks like to me

I would delete this screenshot, AND change the password for your email address. The long line between: 1. AUTH PLAIN 2. 334 3. 235 2.7.0 Authentication successful is simply a base64 encoded string of your email+password, that can easily be decoded, meaning that you've technically leaked it with this screenshot. As for this specific 550 5.4.6 message, when you're trying to send a message to yourself, that is one which you will definitely need to contact Titan Email about. With your previous "rotation" between Titan Email and e.g. Cloudflare Email Routing (a couple of weeks ago), it isn't unlikely that Titan Email has seen you try to send to yourself, but where e.g. your email wasn't properly configured while it was pointing elsewhere (to another provider than Titan Email). As Titan Email saw a 550 5.1.1 Mailbox does not exist from the other destination, likely at the time in the past, where it wasn't configured properly, it sounds from the error message, like they are remembering ("caching") this response for 30 days. As (legit) email addresses are valuable, e.g. for spammers to abuse, various security and rate limiting practices are often applied at the various providers out there, - in order to limit abuse egressing from their network.

well, it seems deleting the mailbox and re-creating it was all it took. as soon as I remade it and changed the password and update the password in em client, the email I sent myself that was stuck in the outbox went through and I was just able to forward it again to myself

I get nothing using the 'forgot username' option and filling in my email there my only conclusion is the hacking i've been getting recently, they've changed the email address. but then I have called up multiple times and they confirmed it was @atomicrhino.net etc ... I don't know anymore can you send a random test email to paradox@atomicrhino.net please?

yup it came through fine so I can get and send emails now with it fine the issue must be with the government website /exasperated non-surprise but at least I fixed everything else

If they also sent a message while your set up was misconfigured, your email address likely ended up on a "supression list" on their side too. E.g. just like it did with Titan Email. "Their side" may, depending on how they run their email, be a suppression list residing at their email provider.

well, they were supposed to switch it to phone number verification 3 days ago to save me having to come in for a face to face apointment just to alter my email address but that doesn't seem to have happened obviously anyway I think that's about as far as I can expect with cloudflare support on this, want to thank you for all your help :)

Systems being slow to propagate isn't unheard of, ... but that slow? Maybe the support agent promised more than they actually could (e.g. a face to face appointment may also have be required to do the mentioned change). Unfortunately, not all are returning with a call, or similar, to give such information. 😐 This isn't actually the "cloudflare support", but simply a community - filled with a lot of volunteers / enthusiasts. 🙂 But anyway, you're welcome! 🙂

For Unraid, you're more likely better of communicating directly with Unraid's own community, as they would be better geared to serve their users. For the Cloudflare Community (or Discord), it goes a bit outside the scope, but if you insist on the Cloudflare Communtiies, I would recommend you to create a separate thread, where the only category I see it would fit for, would be a thread in the #off-topic channel.
