Feature Discussion: Filtered Timeline View

Hello, I would like to discuss a feature regarding the current filter implementation. I really like to work with filters in order to move pictures into albums, like them, and so on. For example I specify 2024 and work through my pictures. Currently, after applying a filter all pictures are shown in a bunch in a new window, what makes it difficult to select a day or several days very easy and fast. Why not simply filter the timeline view directly? or if it is in a new window, a checkbox could enable the timeline in the new window so the user can decide if he or she wants to view all filtered pictures directly or move structured in a timeline. However, it should be possible to select pictures as in the normal timeline in groups conveniently. In my opinion I do not understand why filters open the new window rather then simply filter the timeline. Happy to hearing your opinion.

Is that maybe the wrong place to discuss features? Should I write somewhere else? At least in discord I do not find an appropriate topic, maybe I should open an issue on Github.
