Plex Desktop
I have installed Plex Desktop and I get an error when trying to play videos from the Plex server on my network. The error is:
An unknown error occurred (4294967283)
Error code: 4294967283
Here are my computer specs:

I have searched the error on the web and there is mention of a setting under transcoder that I do not have. If there is any more information I can get anyone to help me let me know. Thanks folks!

The Plex desktop app doesn't really work from my experience

Will it be able to connect to my Plex server computer doing it that way?
Yes, you go to the servers' address in your web browser and log in to your Plex account. For me, it's running on http://192.168.178.23:32400/web/ but your address will probably be different. You will get warnings that the site doesn't have a valid certificate because it's running localhost and no https, but it's perfectly safe
