This one bc it’s the one I’m putting that shit on in
i think the medieval period was a bit longer than a decade
also western centric much? kinda problematic
1900's is what makes me feel bland :nooooo:
I loove early Renaissance
As for actual stuff I actually wear I get most of my inspo from the 60s and 70s
The bright colours and fun silhouettes are just my thing
70s and 80s character actors in genre movies.
I think either 80s or 90s fits seem to resonate with me, like a lot. All I know is that I went through a phase of watching 80s/90s anime series and one offs and coming out thinking "damn I need me some of those fits".
High waisted pants, cropped jackets that seemingly always have their sleeves rolled up, basically a mix-up of slim articles of clothing mixed with oversized articles of clothing. Also cybernetic enhanced appendages that have hidden armaments.
I find stuff from the late 60s and early 70s to be the most fun, but honestly no matter how hard I've tried to make regularly wearing flares etc. it gets very draining very fast. I do still draw a lot of inspo from that era when it comes to patterns, colours etc.
80s/90s/some early 00s LLBean and other vaguely preppy/outdoorsy brands have an absolute chokehold on me though. Similar to Terry I find the mixing of slim and oversized clothes along with high waisted pants, checkered shirts and rolled sleeves incredibly comfortable and something I keep coming back to
Honorary mention to 40s/50s workwear
i think they were cooking between 0 and 10 ad
have we considered caveman era
they seemed to know what they were doing with animal prints
Probably 2000’s, I like the diversity of white tees available
