Pc crashing (Help plsš¤§)
Yesterday Valorant started acting up ā I launch the game, and after about 1 minute my entire PC completely freezes. The day before yesterday everything was working fine, I could play without issues.
Hereās what Iāve already tried:
Updated my GPU driver (also tried rolling back to previous versions).
Windows is fully updated (Windows 10).
System file checks:
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Verified the integrity of game files (through Riot client) ā no issues.
Fully reinstalled Riot Vanguard.
Disabled all overlays (Discord, GeForce Experience, etc.).
Other games run stable without any problems; the issue only happens with Valorant.
I already contacted support, but they sent me the same standard troubleshooting steps I had already done

At what screen does it freezes?
I can start a Deathmatch or training , but even just standing in the lobby, my whole PC completely freezes
1-2 min and my whole pc got freeze
And only restarting helps(
Can you check event viewer if anything stand out
Press windows key
Type Event Viewer
Then click on Windows logs > Applications
Click on the latest āerrorā and look for the ones that mentions valorant and show ss
I checked Event Viewer as you suggested:
Windows Logs ā Applications ā latest errors.
There are no entries mentioning Valorant (

Open device manager > expand network adapters
Show ss rq
Do you play on wifi or Ethernet?

Switch to wifi for now
Right click and disable that
Then restart your pc
Launch the game
And see if it crashes

Try this:
Press windows key
Search āmsconfigā
And open āSystem Configurationā
Head to āServicesā tab
Check āHide all Microsoft servicesā
And then āDisable allā
And find āvgcā and enable that only
Open āTask Managerā
Then head to āStartup Appsā
And disable all
Then enable all riot/val related
Then restart your pc

I honestly canāt even imagine what could have happened literally overnight ā in the evening the game runs fine, then in the morning I turn on my PC and Valorant just doesnāt work anymore
Have you tried reinstalling vanguard
maybe i should try this again

- Open the Task Manager > Details tab
- End the task on all VALORANT, Riot Client and VANGUARD-related apps/services
- Open the Control Panel > Uninstall a Program
- Uninstall Riot VANGUARD
- Open CMD as Admin and type these commands:
- sc delete vgc
- sc delete vgk
- Navigate to your C: Drive, then Program Files
- Find the VANGUARD folder and delete it
- Open the Riot Client and click update
- Restart your computer after the update
After youāre done with that:
- Press Windows key + R
- Type services.msc
- Look for vgc
- Right-click on vgc > Properties
- Change the startup type to automatic
- Start the services (if not started already)

Turns out Iām not the only one with this problem, itās been over a month and nobody has been able to find a solution š

Did you try reinstalling windows
Even a clean ssd with a fresh Windows installation didnāt help
Could just be your pc then :val_HUH:
it's only 3 month since i bought him
i mean if all games would have type of issues maybe ye, but it's only happens in val and maybe after ui5 engine update

NO WAYYYYYYYY I PLAYED A WHOLE DM AND NOT FREEZED, I tried one solution from reddit control pannel -> hardware and sound -> power options -> edit plan settings -> change advanced power settings -> usb settings -> usb selective suspend settings -> disabled and got update for val 300mb+- and OMG it's worked i think
