Upgraded without reading release notes (yeah I know)

Hi, so I upgraded without reading the release notes, by docker compose pull && docker compose up -d and of course I broke my setup. I can't remember which version I was on, I believe I installed immich in December last year and never updated. Could someone share some pointers on how to recover? I tried changing the release in .env and get immich-server Error manifest unknown.

thanks, I just assumed the upgrade was more complex. I was searching for some kind of supported upgrade path as it seemed every release had breaking changes but then figured out I wasn't that far from the latest afterall.
