How do I debug Gaming Mode issues?
I have had the same
bazzite-deck install since 2023, and there is a bug that I encounter on and off. The Gaming Mode like on the Steam Deck becomes inaccessible unless I restart the computer. If I try clicking on the desktop shortcut "Return to Gaming Mode", Steam gets reset (my Steam account is signed out, Steam settings are reset, compatibility tools preferences are reset.
Attempted actions taken so far are:
- ujust fix-reset-steam
- rebasing to the forward Testing images and backward stable images from June.
I am an experienced developer so getting my hands messy isn't a concern.1 Reply
as far as i know this is kind of a known issue, there's a few github issues for it and lots of people have the same problem including me. https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/2497 https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/3001 For now the workaround is to restart it if you want to go back to gaming mode
