I think people just want certainty over costs, I wouldn't expect CF to be cheapest, that's the different market full of naff providers with no redundancy that fake CPU cores and throw everything out over he.net/cogent, clarity over egress pricing would be a good start..

Understood. - Re clarity over egress pricing. We also want to make some changes here if you're egressing within CF's borders. Unfortunately, its trickier technically, so has been put off relative to some other work.
Long term, I'd expect egress to the public internet to remain at the prices we've listed, but then egress to CF properties (ie R2) to be either much cheaper or free.
But, we're focusing on the basics before finalizing that.
Would be good to see a third tier as well, Bandwidth Alliance was big CF push many years ago, it be a little hypocritical to not have a third tier for reduced pricing between CF and bandwidth alliance partners, but I suspect this will require placement pinning as container configuration as the idea would be heavily reduced pricing where an interconnect exists, e.g. if I have Azure London postgres, and deploy a JVM container to CF London this could be heavily reduced per gig transfer
