All audio cuts out when adjusting volume in games

If I'm in a game and adjust the volume using either the volume buttons on my laptop or the volume knob on my keyboard, all audio will cut out and stop playing. I've figured out I can temporarily fix it by going opening the Volume in the panel, clicking the meatball menu in the playback device being used, and switching from 'Play HiFi Quality Music' to 'Pro Audio' and back restores audio. But the problem happens again if I adjust volume. It seems random for many adjustments it takes for audio to cut out. Is there any solution?

edit: Through more testing, discovered that it only happens on Plasma DEs and not Gnome. Got the same bug on Kubuntu and Fedora. Tested Bazzite Gnome and it never happened. It also doesn't happen through my USB sound card, just laptop speakers.
Solution
Found a 90% solution. It doesn't fix it entirely, but it makes it happen significantly less. Tested by adjusting volume quickly in-game with the volume knob on my keyboard, and it took far longer to cut out.

Replace pipewire with pulseaudio.

Open terminal, and input this command:
sudo dnf swap --allowerasing pipewire-pulseaudio pulseaudio

It came back with an error of some sorts, but it seemed to have replaced it successfully regardless.
Then reboot.
sudo reboot

Hopefully a proper fix will be instated for it at some point, but the audio issue doesn't seem to happen on many systems from what I could find.
