Dualboot with Ubuntu
Hi folks,
I have an existing Framework 16 with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS loaded, and I'd like to bual boot with Bazzite. Can someone points me to some guides on how can I set this up? The only guides I found are for dual booting with Windows.
Thanks!

In particular, I'm looking at this dialog which is not super clear and does not instill me with confidence that it won't wipe everything, which is from experience is all too easy to do -

yeah
If you want confidence, boot ubuntu, shrink your roor partition, then boot bazzite and partition with Blivet GUI. The partition layout is in dual boot guide under bazzite docs
that installer weirds me out a bit
but if you choose custom or advanced custom it brings you to the partition wizard
Me too, I run away from auto partitioning like the plague. I use blivet gui on fedora.
when you click done
the safest method for dual-booting is always to have separate drives for both, but that may be inconvenient for a laptop
ideally you would remove the one that holds your first OS, install Bazzite on the second one, then add it back in, put Bazzite as the first priority in your BIOS, and run
ujust regenerate-grub
so it finds the other OSthanks, is this the one you mean? @mrvictorywin (Ping on reply) https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Installation_Guide/dual_boot_setup_guide/
