Transistor
So i make a projects that use a battery and a motor i want to control motor with the transistor like on and off(because i don't have l283d sadly) but 5v from the arduino couldn't power the transistor enough so is there anything i can do to fix this?

Yes i power it with the battery

I don't know if it was my English that bad or my skills at this thing it just very low, so how to do that?

the potentiometer is for speed control, it is not needed for simple on / off control
Connect battery GND to arduino GND, is what I understand, but that seems to be wrong ….
all the grounds in the system must be connected together, they form a common ground, a common voltage reference
