Some apps from Elgato Marketplace gives this error when trying to install plugins.
It seems some of the plugins have changed how the manifest's are structured maybe, is there a work around somewhere for this?

Was this plugin version released in the last couple of days?
If it was, that means that the error is because the plugin has been protected by Elgato's Digital Rights Management (DRM)
Not much we can do about that, you can install an older version of the plugin which should keep working for a while
It hasn’t been updated since 2023 😅 Maybe the plugin is to far out of date?
yea but they botched it

Never mind, I was looking at the wrong plugin July 2nd was the update
it's been DRM'ed
Curses. Guess I gotta learn rust then 🤣
You can make a plugin in every Language you desire.
I mean, looking at it, it's only the manifest.json that's encrypted
so if you recreate that file (not very hard) and keep all the others it should work
we cant do that ourselves and distribute patched versions because it wouldnt be very legal
as of right now yes. But If I remember correctly, Q1 next year, everything will be starting to be drmed
yea, i didnt know about that specifically but i presumed theyre cracking down, hence the plan for making all our new plugins
That implies that I know anything outside of hello world in lua 😂
lmao
Just meant if xou want to learn another one you can use it for opendeck.
Touché.
I'm sold. I'm allergic to DRM
Had planned on teaching myself Rust. Now I have a reason and a motivation to do it.
Aren't some of their existing plugins open sourced on GitHub though?
not the official ones I think
hope to see you in #plugin-dev
