Also it is installed on an internal drive
Is it installed on the main drive
Yup! There is only one drive on the PC

Press windows key + r
Type regedit
Enter
And go to this path
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options
Then show ss
I had to add it just so that is stated

Hmm then that’s not the issue
;vgc
- Open the Task Manager > Details tab
- End the task on all VALORANT, Riot Client and VANGUARD-related apps/services
- Open the Control Panel > Uninstall a Program
- Uninstall Riot VANGUARD
- Open CMD as Admin and type these commands:
- sc delete vgc
- sc delete vgk
- Navigate to your C: Drive, then Program Files
- Find the VANGUARD folder and delete it
- Open the Riot Client and click update
- Restart your computer after the update
After you’re done with that:
- Press Windows key + R
- Type services.msc
- Look for vgc
- Right-click on vgc > Properties
- Change the startup type to automatic
- Start the services (if not started already)
We will be waiting for your response, thank you.
Try this
It is interesting it states Vanguard and vgc were there but are not in the control panel
I deleted everything and I am going to clean install it all
Reinstalling Riot Client, Valorant right now
I’ve seen 1 guy who faced this issue, regardless of what he did, nothing worked, so he ended up reinstalling OS
I see
When I have installed VAL in the past it never has this pop up

@Rachel

I see it on services

Still the same error
Solution
Try this:
Press windows key
Search “msconfig”
And open “System Configuration”
Head to “Services” tab
Check “Hide all Microsoft services”
And then “Disable all”
And find “vgc” and enable that only
Open “Task Manager”
Then head to “Startup Apps”
And disable all
Then enable all riot related
Then restart your pc
Just so it’s stated every time I boot up Valorant it says it has an update
I know that could be a bug
Okay that error has not popped up yet
It is fixed!
Thank you very much!
