Completed Java, 10 months left in final year — Feeling a bit lost, what should I focus on next?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently in my final year of BTech, and I have around 10–11 months left before graduation. Recently, I completed learning Java (core + OOPs, etc.) from BroCode's 12hr YT tutorial, and I’m now trying to figure out what I should focus on next to make the most of this year.
A bit about my background:-i have decent knowledge of frontend development (ReactJS). I’ve also worked quite a bit with Linux, so I’m comfortable using the terminal, shell scripting, etc. My main focus recently was Java, and now that I’ve finished it, I’m not sure what path to take from here. I’m a bit confused—should I start with DSA and focus on problem-solving for placements? Or should I move into Spring Boot/backend development and build some solid projects? Or maybe try balancing both?
So my doubts are:What should I prioritize now that I’ve finished Java? Is it better to go all-in on DSA for placements, or focus on building full-stack/backend projects? Any roadmap or suggestions for someone with ~10 months left? Thanks in advance! Any guidance would be really appreciated 🙏

personally i would say start with projects with spring
if u wanna focus on java
aye, i have thought of it but there was a senior Java dev who advised to do DSA but since i don't have much time, and i didn't wanted to embarass him, i didn't question him further but he got me confused between both then i have asked a similar question in android server where some were suggesting android dev but since i hate to write frontend so backend is the only thing i have but im still confused between both now. DSA or Spring[boot].
