How to achieve a fit like in the picture?

19M. My goal is achieving the fit in the picture without the fancy lapels ofc. I do know now that I need to get my blazer's sleeves shortened, trouser shortened in length so that it just hangs above the shoe, and trousers seem too wide. Are any other changes required which i can mention to the tailor?

Hi @RebL! For better answers, include: - Reference pictures - Budget in numbers - Specific measurements - Openness to buying secondhand and/or online - Location: country/continent is fine - Timing/urgency

Also should I get a longer tie and a better belt? Any other tips for the formal/professional look? Dress shirt okay? Or the trousers might have to remain as wide as they are like it might not be possible to fix them but can still get them hemmed shorter in length

shorten the pants for sure. i think you’ll like the look of them a lot more when the fabric isnt bunching up over your shoe you dont need a new tie, you can just retie it to be longer new belt for sure, this one is pretty casual so it looks out of place shirt looks fine

sleeves shortened but thats all i would personally do in the pic you posted you can see a bit of the shirt sleeve through the blazer sleeve which is what you want to shoot for

are you wearing a suit [matching pants and blazer] or a blazer and pants in the picture? I can't tell if it's the photo lighting or whether they're not made from matching fabric

The tie is definitely too short. The belt looks kinda casual but it's hard to see tbh

I'll add that your pants are actually a slightly fuller cut than the one in the pic and they look better than the reference pic. Going with the advice you've been given will have this looking great
