ISR with akamai
Hi all, would it be possible to enable ISR without using netlify or vercel, it's not clear in the docs, how can I make sure it works?

Hi @ivancic_josip. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.

I'm sorry, but the knowledge sources do not provide explicit information about enabling ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) with Akamai as a CDN or deployment platform. The documentation and examples specifically mention ISR support for Netlify and Vercel, where Nuxt can automatically apply route rules to leverage their native CDN caching for ISR. There is no mention of Akamai or instructions for enabling ISR on platforms other than Netlify or Vercel.
If you are deploying to a custom environment or another CDN like Akamai, you may need to implement custom cache handling and invalidation logic, but the official docs do not cover this scenario or guarantee that Nuxt's built-in ISR will work out-of-the-box on Akamai. For now, ISR is officially supported and documented only for Netlify and Vercel deployments Hybrid Rendering in Nuxt.
If you need ISR on Akamai, you may want to follow updates from the Nuxt team or open a feature request for more detailed support.
