Upgrade stuck on "Preparing new server"
I tried upgrading my Postgres version to the latest 17.x.x.x and for the last 90+ minutes, it has been stuck on the first task of "Preparing new server". I have upgraded versions in the past and it has always gone smoothly and taken about 10-15 minutes. My project is based in us-east.
Any ideas whats going on?

Same issue for me in us-east-2. Been going for 2.5 hours now.

There was some type of sporadic outage for org/project creation. Not sure if it impacted other stuff.
Some users are saying it is not resolved for them. This was SB comment in image about an hour ago. But I would generate a support request in case this is something else. @McLaren are you us-east-2 also?

I submitted a request about 20 minutes ago. Yup, us-east-2.
K. I'm doing an upgrade on my us-east-2 instance also right now to see if mass outage...
Would be nice if they disabled upgrades when an outage like this occurs. I understand new project creation is having issues, but current production DBs should be blocked from upgrading if this is ongoing.
There is no outage right now except for EU-central supposedly.
Not sure what this is. The other thing seemed like an org issue.
Where in the process are yours stuck? Mine is still moving along the steps.
I've seen outages before where they are late to report it. I'm sure this is one of those instances if we all happened to be experiencing the same issue in the same region at the same time

If you both got tickets #'s back drop them here in case this grows or drags on. Support is the required path at this state.

Mine finished, seemed slower than usual. So something more flaky or you got stuck in an earlier issue that resolved at least the create part...
I added your tickets to my escalation on the project issue. Not sure if that will move them quicker or not.

Just heard back from support. They cleaned up the issue and I was able to retry the upgrade. Seems to be working now.
Upgrade complete. Everything back to normal for me.
Supposedly all 3 tickets from this thread should be handled now.

Hey, not yet @garyaustin . I had 4 upgrades running and they only cleaned up 1 of them.
Did you call out all of them?
