Can't launch Pathologic 2 | SyntaxError: Unexpected end of JSON input

Hi everyone, I'm trying to play Pathologic 2, but it simply does not want to launch. I've looked at the logs (https://0x0.st/KMz9.log), there's an error message that says `SyntaxError: Unexpected end of JSON input`. I've tried to look through the channel for problems with similar error messages, but couldn't find anything that would be comparable to the issue I had. There's a couple other threads with similar error messages, but they're either unresolved, or the solution is not applicable to my current situation (at least I think so). Anyone have an idea?

I tried to run the game using different versions of Proton-GE, but none of them worked, and I keep getting similar error messages every time.

I'm curious as to where the supposedly incomplete json files are on my machine, because the paths mentionned in the error do not exist. I don't even have an

/app

/app

directory on my machine... Or perhaps this is a relative path somewhere, it's a bit weird because the way it's written seems to indicate that it's an absolute path...

Okay, so after looking through possible causes for this issue online and not finding anything really, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it with GE-proton9-27, and now it works!

I still have no clue what caused the issue I had, but I suppose that does not matter very much anymore.

If anyone ever finds themselves in a situation with similar error messages as I got, I suggest you try to reinstall the game, and maybe it'll work for you too!
