Not leveling properly//or at all
Hi there! I tried to read the documentation and ask the instant support bot (gave me a error), also used the config commands
So, the bot is either not leveling people, or doing so at a very slow pace. For example someone joined the server and had sent around 200 messages, however when i used /rank lurkr said they had no XP.
I used the level calculator on the site and it said reaching level 4 should have taken 13 messages. (I bumped up the multiplier because it was extremely slow)
Older members are gaining xp, I also saw someone gain 4 levels within a hour or so., so it seems as if it works sometimes. Any help is appriciated, ty!

Im not sure how to make it have access to the channels, i went into perms on individual channels and turned view channel on for the lurkr role but it didnt update, most these channels are staff or misc ones
I turned administrator on yesterday and it seems to be working again so ig it was just not able to view channels...

Make sure that no other role lurkr might have could be blocking access if it's higher in the list
Okay, thanks. I dont think it has any like that, im wondering if theres a way to select what channels it can and cannot see somewhere?
Nvm i see it in the dashboard aha. Im trying to cancel out a ticket catagory, so im not sure how to do that if it needs administrator perms, idk if it'll override the channel perms, im assuming so
Admin permission overrides everything. I would suggest using a whitelist and then selecting the channels you want people to level up in. Then you can use /config debug to check which channels have permission errors.
Then you can check which is the highest role that the bot has and assign that role to have view channel permission and view message history at a minimum. Because it's the highest role that the bot has, it will override any permissions below it that might try to deny view message permissions.
Otherwise you can send a screenshot of the permissions of one of the channels and the roles/permissions that lurkr has
Do you know how to use the whitelist? I just see a blacklist in the dashboard

Ill have to keep it on admin ig until i manually see if i can add the bot to the channels TT

I appriciate it tho. We have a lot of channels for tickets for diff purposes along with just a lot of chatting channels so even w premium black or whitelisting we'd reach the limit
Ive just manually turned view/read history for some channels but thats the perms
How many channels do you need? We might be able to raise the premium limit
