Windows steam on mac using heroic version.

Updates aand downloads keep failing saying, corrupt donload/ content servers unavailable, some games have downloaded fine, others wont at all with network speed in kbps and disk at 0bps. for example im currently downloading steamworks common redistributables and it says estimated time >1 year.

is this a commoin issue or more related to the way im running it through heroic?
