What can i improve

Something about my outfits feels off and i don’t know what it is, im pretty new to fashion so I can’t tell

I think this is like, solid, fine. My criticisms would be that there's not a ton of visual interest going on between everything, normal clothes worn normally, no punchy color combos or interesting fits or silhouettes or anything. Also, pants a little slim for common taste around here.

what joan said, i think maybe somthing could be done with where the tee ends, ie either more cropped to sit above the end of the jacket or longer to hang out below. first thing that came to mind was this fit from chris, theres lots going on here but the shirt under having a fun hem i think adds a lot

Are slim silhouettes a bad thing? I used to wear baggy clothes before and idk if it looks only weird because im not used to slim or is that really what makes my fit look off

I avoid calling it bad but it's definitely safe to say that slim fit clothes are pretty off trend right now. IMO if you want to go slim fit you really need to lean into it and do something interesting with the fit (chris does a good job with this in the pic oman posted). The fit of the clothes in your pic are pretty middle of the road slim, doesn't lean into it hard enough to really own it. A lot of clothes are sold this way these days, have to go looking for things that are more straight fitting if that's your thing.

yeah I think "go big or go home" is not the only way, if you are attached to slim fit look for ways to play into it in a cool way, inspo from places that carrion listed.

and I mean really, taking a step back and just looking for inspo of like "okay well what do I want to dress like" might be good. might find that straight fit or wide fit feels more at home.

Ok cool, knowing your goals is waaay more helpful for us to make recs.
Keep collecting inspo and looking at it to figure out what you like from each fit.

Just my opinions but:

the pants in ur OP are fine but they don't really do anything interesting with the boots.
your tee ends where a tee kinda traditionally would end, and its just a regular crewneck, so it doesn't really look intentional.
id swap out the bag for smth leather or generally more interesting
u have no jewelry
jacket is just kinda ehh but that might just be the photo

Am I crazy for thinking that the jeans actually work? They’re not cigarette 2010 slim; there’s some give on a semi boot cut. We all know trend pendulums swing so I think you could work this but as others have said you need more variation and bordering going on. Maybe cuff the jeans so you get a break to the footwear. The jacket and tee shouldn’t end at the same place on your torso. Honestly the jacket seems a little misfit - too long in sleeves, too tight in torso and either not short or not long enough. Tee should be shorter or tucked, and might look good to see a nice worn out belt or something. Agree with others about the satchel - not sure the color or height or style quite works with this fit.

i think the jeans work for this style, they could do something a bit cooler with the boots but really the second pic showing off the texture on them helps a lot, it really just doesnt come through in the first pic. I think the jacket also fits right for the style it is in.
