Iris won't install
hello, I am very late to the iris fad and I seem to have an issue installing it. I'm not sure if it's my computer or something else. My java is installed (I even reinstalled it just incase) and I downloaded the iris launcher from the website, however when I am on the actual launcher, trying to download it my .minecraft folder I click the install button and nothing happens. It won't let me download it to anywhere on my PC.
I am still on windows 10, not sure if that makes a difference.
I am used to only using optifine and wish to have my shaders back...

Once you click install, it should directly create a game profile inside the official Minecraft Launcher and is ready to use.

Can you show your game profiles in your Minecraft Launcher?
when I click on install it doesnt do anything
Click on the Installations tab right below the Minecraft: Java Edition text at the top.
That should list all your available game profiles.

Okay, so you don't have any other profiles. Let's proceed.
Rerun the installer, but instead, change the installation method from Iris Only to Iris + Fabric, then click install.
Once clicking install, does the middle grey bar right above the install button light up green?

It's late midnight here, and I'm not willing to get off from bed and turn on my PC just to check. I guess you have to wait for others to help you, or wait for me to come back to you in the next 20 hours.

I'm currently experiencing this same issue. Has a fix been found?
Make sure the Minecraft launcher is closed before you install Iris. If it's open the Iris installer won't be able to create a profile in the launcher.
