Dying a wool/nylon blend jacket
Hey guys, I have an EG cruiser parka in a 80% wool 20% nylon blend. It’s an amazing jacket and I want to keep it but unfortunately I just hate navy and cannot wear it with most of my favorite clothes. How feasible would it be to over dye it black? Is there a place I can call that would do something like this?

if you live in LA you could try Suey, they do dyeing
it might be feasible but you may have to dye it twice
once with a dye for protein fibers once with a dye for nylln
got no personal experience with that tho
Apparently rit dye can do nylon
worddd, I’ll call Suey maybe I can mail it to them
Suay can’t dye Nylon 😭
dang
I’ll ask my friend in NY he works with John Alexander Skelton and some of the other artisinal brands so they might know someone
could just throw it in a bucket of rit and see what happens
Rit doesn’t typically work for wool but yeah I might just buy one of Dharma’s acid dyes and go for it
Like I’m never gonna wear it anyway so whatever ig
