Bazzite DX vs Bazzite with Docker Installation

The title pretty much explains it I want docker to work, but I don't see the installation being really difficult I also feel safer knowing that I use the standard version of bazzite that 6.4k others also use, and not one that 100 use I fully appreciate your move to make it similar to bluefin, as I really liked that distro, but I'm wondering if I could achieve the same thing myself And how different would it be, like say you push an update would it be to bazzite first, so that way I'll also benefit from it rather than being on a smaller fork of bazzite (if I understand it right) Thanks!

I would find it "safer" to be on the version used by 100s that specifically has docker built-in, instead of being one of the under 10 that adds it to non-dx bazzite

I just discovered the developer version. Curious if it receives the same updates as the normal bazzite or if its own thing? Is it not just normal bazzite but with docker and vscode?

It gets its own updates, but they're a common base and come out basically at the same time as normal bazzite. If you need docker, for now, use bazzite-dx. Don't waste time trying to run it on normal bazzite, you won't get support here for doing it and asking for support will just get people to tell you to rebase to bazzite-dx. It's not quite normal bazzite, it's actually a deck image that defaults to desktop instead of the normal bazzite image being desktop. But you won't actually notice a difference.

the dx version is built from the deck version of bazzite, same updates with more on top of it

Okay I'll give a small update, since I can roll back I've decided to give it a shot You were right @Engineer @HikariKnight it is a bit more difficult than a normal distro but possible Luckily people do publish silverblue guides for this and I've seen bluefin doing something similar as well (letting users install docker post installation) Bottom line, 8 commands and it seems to be working, with correct permissions I'll list them if anyone's looking to do the same All I want to say in this is I think this could really be a ujust instruction, perhaps with a warning saying it's better to use the dx, as for me some changes weren't to my liking there Tell me what do you think of this, just a suggestion I had in mind
