Not booting into Bazzite
I just finished installing Bazzite, following the video on the Bazzite website. Everything went fine, no issues, but when I rebooted after the install finished, my pc went right back into Windows. The video says that I should have gotten a blue window but it never showed up. Any thoughts on what I did wrong?

If you installed to different drives you'll need to set the drive that bazzite is on as the boot drive from bios.
After that there'll be more dual disk instructions on the documentation for regenerating grub to see the windows install.
I split my main drive into 2 partitions. I will look back at the doc again.
BIOSes have bugs
The doc covers getting the system to recognize windows again. The issue I'm having is that my computer doesn't recognize the Bazzite install. It boots straight to Windows.
one of those can be not respecting user boot settings
& force loading Windows instead
this is what the Steam Deck does
it'll boot Windows if it finds it by default
you have to explicitly choose something else from the boot picker to make it boot said other thing
ok I will dig into my BIOS then. thanks guys.
you don't have to do that even
Windows has it's own boot manager which gets info from the BIOS
& can tell it to boot stuff the BIOS knows about
when booted into Windows
you can hold shift & press restart
this will bring you to advanced startup options
from there you can choose "use a device"
bazzite should be one of the options
might also be called fedora
or maybe just grub
Ok I'll give that a shot
Thanks again
very interested in what you find under "use a device"
if you have a CD/DVD drive that will be in there of course
Lol too many choices...

i was expecting maybe 1 or 2 fedora's not 3
What can I say...I'm an overachiever
but either option should work though ideally one should take you to the blue menu
that menu enables secure boot in bazzite
go with the first i guess
And there it is. Perfect thanks man.
you can make it so that a screen like this shows up every time you boot
the option should be somewhere in msconfig
n Windows of course
So it's still booting directly to Windows...I guess I'll try it with the other 2.

Second Fadora gives me this
oh
you didn't get the blue screen yet?
that one makes it easy to enable secure boot
the option you selected here
would bring you to bazzite
if secure boot was on
or if you disable secure boot
but it's better to have it enabled
the program in the image above
is GRUB
The first one got me the blue screen, but on reboot, it still took me to Windows. The second one took me to the black screen I shared, and the 3rd looked like it was going to boot to Bazzite, but rebooted again and took me back to Windows.
the bootloader/boot manager for Linux
GRUB usually shows you a menu
with bazzite versions to boot
this happens if grub can't find the configuration file telling it what options exist
go back to this screen
type
configfile /grub2/grub.cfg
i'm curious if this makes it work
as it\s supposed toOk will try in a sec.
Currently have a gray screen trying to load Bazzite...maybe...
with a sort of progress thingy?
a progress indicator
3 dots
changing color
if so then yeah
that's bazzite loading
though normally bazzite shows your vendor logo
like Windows does
I got the Bazzite logo...but then nothing...just a gray screen
Oh...never mind...Bazzite decided my 3rd screen was my primary...
so works?
Yeah
nice
Working
Thanks man
