Kapital Century Denim questions
Hi everyone, I’ve been looking at century denim no.9 for a while now and want to pull the trigger. I am a size 31/32 in most denim I own but I cannot tell whether to get a 34 or 36 in these jeans.
I’d prefer a slightly wider fit so I’m thinking a 36 might be best and then I’d get the waist tailored to fit me better, but looking for some advice from people who actually own century denim.
From what I’ve read, it sounds like a 34 would be better for me in terms of going for the intended fit, but I want a wider silhouette than the slim-straight fit that these jeans seem to be.
Is getting a 36 and taking in the waist a bad idea? If it is, anyone have any other high quality denim recs? Ideally a pair that I can wear for the next 10 years plus.

Hi @gank_star! For better answers, include:
- Reference pictures
- Budget in numbers
- Specific measurements
- Openness to buying secondhand and/or online
- Location: country/continent is fine
- Timing/urgency
I'm a 33 in like levis/jcrew/uniqlo denim for the most part. all of my century denim is 36 and it's snug to where it mostly stays up without a belt but isn't constrictive
I would say 34 would be great for you
you could take in the waist on a 36 if you wanted but I think I'd want a really good tailor so they don't end up fitting weird
@The Good Morning Man thanks man I appreciate your help. do you mind providing your height and weight for reference? I am 5 ft 10/11 and around 165 lbs. I kinda have bigger thighs and ass tho lol 🤣
I agree with being a bit nervous about getting these jeans tailored. I’ll probably just go for the 34 and can always sell it if I want the 36 later.
I'm a 28/29 waist (6'2 and 150lbs) and I wear century denim in 34.
I haven't had them tailored and just wear a belt. The buckle back also helps take in a bit.
Im 31/32 waist in most jeans and have the Century Denim 36. Waist is a little loose but I just use the buckle back to get the right fit. No need to get it tailored
based on both of your comments I’m thinking a 36 would be better now haha. I don’t think a 34 would fit me if it fits a 28/29 waist. wish I lived near a Kapital retailer so I could try them on…
Any of you have some fit pics?
This is me in 34 no5s.

36 might be a safer bet with me being a bit more bottom heavy…decisions decisions…appreciate the pic, thank you. They look great on you
I'm 5'11" and about 180 carrying the extra 10 almost entirely around the waist
